We chose PKD Building to renovate and extend our heritage Williamstown home on the advice of some old and trusted friends. It turned out to be the best advice we could have been given. Renovating and extending a home can be a highly stressful business and you need to be able to have full confidence in your builder and his team. In our case, it was even more important to have faith in our builder – as we were living and working overseas and, at best, could only travel home to visit and check on progress briefly during the entire construction phase. Before committing to PKD for the entire project we also saw a number of PKD’s other completed projects and spoke to numerous very happy previous PKD clients, which also gave us further confidence in our choice of builders.

During the long building process, Peter and Kate not only kept us up to speed with the build via Skype and weekly photo updates – they took extra time to explain each step and to discuss in detail how we could get the best results and best value from the overall process.

Returning to Williamstown to take possession of our new home was a thrilling experience. The quality of workmanship, and the pride that the entire PKD team and their selected subcontractors take in their work, is exceptional. The house has become a ‘dream home,’ far better than we imagined possible. Peter, Kate and the PKD team made the whole process smooth and exciting rather than traumatic and stressful.
